Converting historic and traditional buildings to new uses saves resources and improves the urban environment. However, using modern construction methods can damage them, and a good feasibility study is needed to identify the options available and show whether a new use can be reconciled with the building's cultural significance, can be physically accommodated, will not be detrimental to the building fabric, and is economically viable.

The study includes useful information, and is a good example of the how to address the context, methodology and options for the conservation and sustainable development of historic and traditional buildings.
