Essentially, a feasibility study aims to predict the outcome of the project, which - aside from meeting the financial and regulatory requirements of the client and policy implementers - will focus on the reality of daily operation. Will the building be fit for purpose, and financially, environmentally and socially sustainable?
Good management plays a key role in raising awareness amongst staff and users. The client should confirm just how pro-active thay can be in managing building systems, developing a benign cleaning regime, instituting a waste recycling policy, etc.
The Client
- A project of this nature offers an opportunity to analyse existing working and operating practices, and look for opportunities for improvement. Issues to look at include natural lighting, decoration, maintenance, office equipment selection and mangement, etc.
