
Essentially, a feasibility study aims to predict the outcome of the project, which - aside from meeting the financial and regulatory requirements of the client and policy implementers - will focus on the reality of daily operation. Will the building be fit for purpose, and financially, environmentally and socially sustainable?
Good management plays a key role in raising awareness amongst staff and users. The client should confirm just how pro-active thay can be in managing building systems, developing a benign cleaning regime, instituting a waste recycling policy, etc.
Should work on the assumption that on completion, a building manual / log book, in line with regulation and up to date guidance (e.g. CIBSE), will clearly set out:
